ERRATUM

In the first sentence of the first article in the January number of MIND, Prof. Stout quotes Prof. Laird as having given 1696 as the date of the publication of Hobbes' De Corpore. This is an error: Prof. Laird in the passage quoted (Proceedings of the British Academy, Vol. XXIV., p 389) gave the correct date, which is 1655. In 1696 Hobbes had already been dead 17 years.
